Artist's Comments
I got my 300 watt ARRI hot light fixed today, just a bad buld, and thought, “What would happen if I put 1300 watts of light on my face…”. I wanted to see the effect I would get with such extremely bright light and it’s affect on my eyes and the background.
I think the eyes came out really beautifully, the pupil restricted opens up the iris for a really great look into the color of the eye. I used my Nikon 60mm macro lens at f/22 to make sure as much as possible was sharp. I’m not one to do self portraits, as I have probably written here before, but I am working to increase the number of self portraits I do as suggested by my last photography professor. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
